"I want to create landscapes the viewer would like to go to, or be a part of in some way, images reminiscent of all those spots that we remember as special, or still lifes and abstracts that entice the viewer with a special emotional response." I enjoy working with pastels. I love the array of pure color choices.

I love to learn and have studied with Tom Lynch, Diane Maxey, Sharon Crosbie, Judi Wagner, Lorenzo Chavez (painting outside in the desert surrounding Tucson, Arizona), M. Kathryn Massey (at the wonderful Jack Richeson facility in Wisconsin), in Traverse City, MI with Bob Rohm, at Scotland's Isle of Skye with Diane Hoff-Rome, and most important, a southeast Michigan favorite, the late August Gloss. In the Spring 2011, a workshop with Richard McKinley, a fantastic pastel artist.
